"I don't remember when it happened but it has. After a trip from the grocery store this countertop and the basket in the corner would be full of box foods, granola bars, fig Newton's, and the like. Now, it's full of fresh fruits and veggies. Did this happen over night. Nope. It happened when I slowly started to change my habits. I was a McDonalds breakfast and sweet tea drinker DAILY. I gave up McDonalds during Lent last year and haven't gone back. However, I replaced McD's with Dunkin a couple times a week. My order, 2 glazed donuts and a large sweet tea with light ice. I replaced that with keurig Lipton southern sweet tea (way less calories and sugars) and the infamous magic muffin. After doing the 14 day cleanse I now start my day with hot lemon water. My habits changed over time. Over the course if the last 5 months I've lost 7 1/2 inches and 6.4 lbs. Eating real food. Not shakes or powders. REAL FOOD! My exercise is not everyday or is it intense. Stephanie works with you starting from where you are. If you are looking for a quick fix don't bother contacting her, she doesn't do that. She does support you in every aspect of the journey. "At age 62, I was out of energy, out of motivation, and more or less out of hope, at least in terms of my self-image. I was tired of fighting. I tried everything at some point in my past with varying degrees of success. I had reached a point in my life where I thought the status quo was all I had to look forward to. I thought my varying health problems were just part of the journey and there wasn’t much I could do about them.
Well...then along came Stephanie Everett. I don’t know where to begin. A few months ago, I asked Stephanie if she would agree to be my Health Coach. Next to marrying my husband, I think this is probably the most important and life affirming decision I could have made. Stephanie is an amazing woman, an amazing coach and an amazing friend. She has a wonderful way of getting to know who you are as a person, what your goals and desires are, and what roadblocks may be getting in the way of your dreams. She has the education, the knowledge, the expertise and the compassion necessary to truly turn lives around. Sessions with Stephanie are a combination of soul-searching, education, positive reinforcement and highly attainable action items. Stephanie uses her expert knowledge of nutrition, body chemistry, psychology, etc. to promote self-awareness in her clients and to provide them with the tools necessary to succeed. Stephanie’s holistic approach to wellness, I believe, is the only thing that really makes sense and the only thing that works.
Since beginning my sessions, I have become much more aware of what is going on with me personally and physically. I’m more attuned to the need for hydration, nutritional balance, and just the plain need to listen to my body. I’m not 100% there yet but the needle is moving and it FEELS REALLY, REALLY GOOD. "I began my journey to better myself without thinking I needed to be guided to reach my goals. But I learned very quickly that THAT is exactly what I needed...Someone to Motivate! Support! Encourage! Teach! Steff has given me all of that.
Our first meeting I was careful to make realistic goals that I knew I was going to reach just by making simple changes that I was already aware of, but what I really wanted was much more.
Steff gave me support and meaningful guidance during our sessions; and between talks, using her directions/suggestions as motivators, they were highly effective but not feeling like much of a challenge to me.
I never felt like I was “losing out” or “depriving myself” of anything.
Each action step I took turned into simple everyday habits that resulted not only in just reaching my goals, but went beyond what I ever imagined possible in just a short amount of time.
Now after three months I’ve lost over 20 lbs. I’ve seen positive changes not only in my appearance but most importantly in my energy and motivation to be comfortable with who am I.
